Drums & Percussion, Vocals
Raymond is a native of California, having grown up in the Eagle Rock area of LA where he discovered his love for music and drumming. In high school, he performed in the concert jazz band filling the place of fellow student and later world-class drummer Carlos Vega. From there, Raymond played in various bands throughout southern California, including local favorite “Cold Duck” with whom he spent over 30 years. After raising a family and enjoying a steady career working for AT&T all while playing local gigs, he recently retired to finally devote his full time to music.
In 2012, he reached out to friend and local guitarist Kelly Cowan with the idea of putting a new band together with an emphasis on musicianship and strong vocals. Kelly was already looking to do
the same, so they joined together and soon LIFETIME ROCKER was born. LTR has since gone on to win awards, are considered one of the premier bands in the Temecula Valley area, and are among the hardest working. This success gave way to more projects in the way of tribute bands, including Hip To Be Square (Huey Lewis) and Major Dudes (Steely Dan).
Ray now enjoys spending quality time with his grandkids and rockin' out with his bandmates.
